Luna the Brave Bunny
Luna was a small white bunny with the softest fur and the biggest ears in the whole meadow. She loved hopping through the tall grass during the day, but when nighttime came, Luna would hide in her burrow.
You see, Luna was afraid of the dark.
"The dark is scary," Luna would whisper to her mother. "I can't see anything, and there might be monsters!"
Her mother would hold her close. "The dark is just the world wearing its nighttime blanket, little one."
One evening, Luna heard a tiny cry from outside her burrow. It was her friend, Cricket, whose chirping had gone quiet.
"Cricket?" Luna called out. The only answer was a soft whimper.
Luna's heart pounded. Outside was dark—very dark. But Cricket needed help.
Taking a deep breath, Luna hopped out of her burrow. At first, she couldn't see anything. But then, as her eyes adjusted, she noticed the fireflies dancing like tiny lanterns. The stars above twinkled like friendly eyes watching over her.
She followed Cricket's whimpers to find her friend caught in a tangle of roots.
"Luna! You came!" Cricket cheered as Luna carefully helped free her.
"Of course I came," Luna said, surprised at herself. "Friends help friends."
As they hopped back together, Luna realized something wonderful. She had been scared, but she had still been brave. Being brave didn't mean not being scared—it meant doing what mattered even when you were scared.
From that night on, Luna still felt nervous about the dark sometimes, but she remembered the dancing fireflies and the friendly stars. And she knew that even in the darkest night, there was always light to be found.
