The Night Rainbow
Did you know that rainbows don't only come out during the day? There's a special rainbow that appears only at night, and only for children who believe in magic.
Young Oliver had never seen the Night Rainbow. "It's not real," he would say. But his grandmother just smiled. "Keep your eyes open, little one."
One night, Oliver couldn't sleep. He tiptoed to his window and looked up at the starry sky. The moon was full and bright, and something shimmered between the clouds.
Oliver rubbed his eyes. There, arching across the night sky, was a rainbow made of moonlight and stardust. Instead of red, orange, and yellow, this rainbow glowed with silver, purple, and the softest blue.
"The Night Rainbow," Oliver whispered.
As he watched, little creatures slid down the rainbow—dream fairies carrying baskets of good dreams to deliver to sleeping children everywhere.
One fairy noticed Oliver watching. She waved and blew him a kiss that turned into a shimmering bubble. The bubble floated through his window and popped on his pillow, filling his room with the scent of vanilla and honey.
Oliver climbed back into bed, smiling. That night, he had the most wonderful dreams of flying through starlit skies and sliding down moonbeams.
And whenever the moon was full, Oliver would check his window, hoping to catch another glimpse of the magical Night Rainbow.
