Captain Snore and the Sleep Ship
Every night at exactly 8 o'clock, a magnificent ship appears in the harbor of Sleep Town. Its sails are made of clouds, its hull is carved from moonstone, and its captain is the legendary Captain Snore.
"All aboard the Sleep Ship!" Captain Snore would call, his voice deep and rumbly like distant thunder.
Children from all over would climb aboard, wearing their coziest pajamas and carrying their favorite stuffed animals. The Sleep Ship had hammocks made of silk and pillows stuffed with dreams.
Tonight, young Mia was taking her first voyage.
"Welcome aboard, young sailor," said Captain Snore, his big white beard twinkling with tiny stars. "First stop: the Island of Giggles!"
The ship sailed across the Sea of Dreams, where the waves were made of soft, bouncy clouds. Mia saw dolphins made of starlight jumping alongside the ship.
At the Island of Giggles, everything was funny. The trees told jokes, the rocks made silly faces, and even the sand tickled your toes.
Next came the Cove of Cuddles, where warm, fuzzy creatures gave the best hugs in all the dream world.
Finally, the ship anchored at Sleepy Bay, where the sand was the softest thing Mia had ever felt.
"Time to rest, young sailor," whispered Captain Snore. "The Sleep Ship will bring you home by morning."
Mia closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, she was in her own bed, feeling like she'd had the greatest adventure ever.
